BuildOUT California wishes to augment the outreach for one of our strongest economic development partners, the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) in their desire to build the capacity of small, minority, women, veteran, and LGBT contractors.
The LACCD’s Small Contractor Boot Camp is a four-session program explicitly designed for small contractors to improve their competitive bidding capacity. Through a comprehensive curriculum, small contractors will learn more about the pre-qualification process for the BuildLACCD Program's Pre-Qualified Service Provider (PQSP) bench, PQSP contracts for projects ranging from $25K - $5M, how to bid for contracts, and how to successfully deliver on BuildLACCD construction projects.
Sessions are twice a week via Zoom:
April 2, 2024: 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
April 4th, 9th & 11th: 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Why should this program be of interest to you?
LACCD’s Capital Project Program has $14.9 billion in construction value as it seeks to modernize and renovate projects throughout its nine colleges. The Board of Trustees established a 30% Local, Small, Emerging, and Disabled Veteran (LSEDV) participation goal for all BuildLACCD contracts and their engagement includes working with LGBT/Allied businesses. This Small Contractor Boot Camp provides numerous opportunities for LSEDV businesses to participate in the program.
