BuildIT at the WCOE 2026 Fall Conference in San Diego

BuildIT, and several of our Founders, were thrilled to be a part of the Women Construction Owners & Executives 2026 Fall Conference held at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort in San Diego. The event drew a national audience of remarkable women construction owners and executives along with representatives from some of the largest general contractors, AEC industry associations and stakeholders. It was an impactful three days of panels focused on legal, human resource, Economic trends, financial management issues along with integrating AI for internal operations as well as business development initiatives.

The WCOE – California Chapter also presented a lifetime achievement award to Rebecca Llewellyn who, for more than five decades, poured her energy into growing Payco Specialties, a family-owned striping and pavement-marking company that became a respected name in California’s construction industry.  Founders of BuildIT have worked with Rebecca for more than 30 years advocating for contractors with Caltrans, Utilities, and the Department of General Services. 

The WCOE – California Chapter curated a flawless conference that showcased the incredibly vibrant role that women entrepreneurs and executives play within the construction industry.  Thank you, also, for the strong showing from the National WCOE board of directors, staff and leaders.
