BuildOUT California wishes to amplify the honor bestowed to Mr. Ernie Camacho (Founder, Pacifica Services, Inc., Board Member of the California High Speed Rail Authority, and supporter of BuildOUT California since Day 1!) by the over 10,000 members of Mobility 21 at their 2023 Summit in Anaheim, September 29.

By way of background, Ernie Camacho founded Pacifica Services, Inc. in 1979 and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. Pacifica Services specializes in program, project and construction management services as well as civil and electronic engineering.

“I first met Ernie over dinner with several members of our Transportation Working Group” stated BuildOUT California’s President, Paul Pendergast. “Aside from being an icon within the transportation industry because of his knowledge and expertise, Ernie is one of the most giving mentors I’ve ever seen. You know you are in the presence of a remarkable person when you spend time with him. He and his team at Pacifica Services not only look like California – but they are BUILDING California!’ Pendergast added.

Mr. Camacho has been active in the Southern California community through his volunteer work. He is a current Board Member for the Los Angeles Latino Chamber of Commerce. He also served as a Foundation Board Member of the White Memorial Hospital, Chairman of the Board for Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital, Board of Trustees for the Claremont Graduate University, the Board of Regents for the Loyola Marymount University, Chairman of the Board for the Center for Community and Family Services and was the Chairman of the Board for the Rail Construction Corporation which was responsible for the design and construction of the Blue, Red and Green line in Los Angeles County.

BuildOUT California congratulates Ernie, his amazing family and his Pacifica Team, for this much-deserved recognition by Mobility 21 members and leadership.
