The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) has selected BuildOUT California Founder, Oscar Zavaleta (The Montez Group), for its 2021 Chair’s Award for Diversity and Inclusion. Oscar was selected for this national award for his demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, social justice, social responsibility, and a record of acting on that commitment. Oscar is the Chair of the CMAA Northern California Chapter’s CODE Committee which stands for Creating Opportunity for Diversity and Equality. He chaired the historic ‘Matchmaking Event’ which was a collaboration between the CMAA and BuildOUT California and featured top executives from Caltrans, BART and the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority.
