AEC industry gathers to honor and celebrate CMAA National’s President and CEO, Andrea S. Rutledge, CAE

It was a glorious, and stunningly balmy, evening along the San Francisco Bay on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, when 12 AEC Industry Organizations and hundreds of professionals, contractors, program and construction managers gathered to recognize the extraordinary contributions and accomplishments of CMAA President Andrea S. Rutledge, CAE. 

In the worlds of Scott Seltz, Publisher of ENR: “For years, Andrea has been a tireless advocate for construction managers and for the profession itself. Through her leadership of CMAA, she helped elevate our industry, expand opportunities for professionals, and strengthen the voice of construction management nationwide.

But what many of us will remember most is not just what Andrea accomplished, it’s how she accomplished it.

She led with integrity, grace, and an incredible ability to bring people together. She made everyone feel welcome, valued, and heard whether they were industry veterans or young professionals just starting their careers.

Andrea's impact can be measured in stronger organizations, stronger careers, and a stronger profession. But her true legacy is the respect, admiration, and gratitude she has earned from all of us”.
