Heavy Civil Industry Honors Talin Espinoza

BuildIT is proud to join with several of our key industry partners in an event produced by ENR to honor and celebrate Talin Espinoza who has had an enormous impact on the heavy civil industry throughout the United States. This reception will take place on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, during the annual Beaverdilly which is a multi-day event, held in Napa, California, hosted by The Beavers, an honorary organization for the heavy civil and engineering construction industry.

For the past six years, Talin has served the Beavers organization as one of the founding members of the Women in Heavy Civil initiative, helping advance its mission to attract, retain, and promote women in the heavy civil construction industry. She has led programs and events at both the Annual Beavers Conference in Los Angeles and the annual Beaverdilly gathering.

Professionally, Talin serves as Chief Strategy Officer for Royal Electric Company, where she brings more than 20 years of experience in the AEC industry. She leads strategic growth initiatives, strengthens key client and industry relationships, advances major pursuits, and helps position the company for expansion into new markets.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Talin is deeply committed to advancing the construction industry through leadership and service. She is a passionate champion for mental health in construction and coordinated the first-ever AGC of California Mental Health Standdown on a FlatironDragados project, helping bring critical conversations about psychological safety and well-being directly to the jobsite. She is also a strong advocate for workforce development, working to address the industry's skilled labor shortage by creating pathways that attract, develop, and retain the next generation of construction professionals.

Talin serves in numerous leadership roles across the industry. She is currently Chair of the AGC of California Los Angeles District, a Board Member of the International Partnering Institute (IPI), and Co-Chair of BuildIT Founders Day for both 2025 and 2026. Her previous leadership service includes roles with CMAA Southern California, WTS Los Angeles, and APWA Southern California.
