Day Two continued the discussions regarding workforce development and how BuildIT can address the challenges of an aging workforce with not enough young talent moving into the construction industry.
Our primary discussions were surrounding: What can BuildIT do to position itself and lead collaborative approaches to workforce development which attract and retain talent, bridge the skills gap, and ensure a strong, inclusive construction workforce that supports the industry’s growth over the next 20 years.
Topic two was collaborative project delivery with an emphasis on P3, Progressive Design Build, CM/GC and Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOCs).
Our core discussions were in relation to what BuildIT can do to further position itself and champion collaborative, innovative project delivery models — ones that balance risk and reward, strengthen owner-contractor relationships, and help the industry deliver complex infrastructure projects more efficiently and inclusively over the next 20 years.
At the end of the day it was ‘on to the Jackson Hole Town Square’ to enjoy the local businesses in this town which make it a remarkable destination for all seasons of the year!
Onward…
