Columbus, Ohio, Latinos in Transit and BuildIT – a winning combination!

BuildIT was proud to be in Columbus, Ohio to attend Latinos in Transit’s (LIT) National Conference September 10 – 13, 2026.  This year’s conference marked the organization's 10th anniversary as a national nonprofit under the theme "Celebrating 10 Years of Excellence, Leadership, and Impact.”

At their Saturday evening Gala, LIT presented BuildIT with their ‘Impact Through Partnership Award' for our unwavering commitment to the growth and success of their organization. They also highlighted our collaboration which has helped strengthen our mission, expand their impact and empower the next generation of transit leaders.

It has been BuildIT’s sincere honor to collaborate with LIT over these past six years.  Their national organization is a constant source of inspiration. Their focus on advancing professional growth, leadership development, networking, and technical training within the public transportation sector is a national model of workforce development.
