The Long Beach Community College District is developing a new, state-of-the-art Stadium & Athletic Sports Complex (SASC) on an 18-acre site, replacing the existing Veterans Memorial Stadium. The project includes approximately 180,000 sq. ft. of new construction and 40,000+ sq. ft. of demolition.
Key features include:
10,000-seat stadium and 2,500-seat arena
Football/soccer field, track & field, and training facilities
Sports medicine, hydrotherapy, and kinesiology classrooms
Student-Athlete Success Center and Hall of Champions
Administrative offices, adaptive classrooms, and more
This transformative project will modernize athletic facilities and expand academic, training, and wellness resources for students and the community.
