From Day 1, BuildIT has always said that we didn’t want to be just the best ‘community-based industry association’ we wanted to be the best industry association that drives discussion on topics that are relevant to the entire AEC industry. One of our key partners in this initiative has been CalInfra.
CalInfra, formally known as the California Infrastructure Delivery Coalition, is a non-profit coalition of public agencies, private-sector firms, and labor organizations dedicated to improving California’s public works and infrastructure. Founded in 2022, the coalition advocates the use of alternative project delivery methods to build and maintain the state's critical infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, transit, and water systems.
We are honored to join with the leadership of CalInfra in announcing its officers for the 2026-2027 fiscal year who have been intensively involved with BuildIT since our founding days:
Danica Bilicich-Mason / Red Team Go!: President of the Board of Directors
Paul Bews / Ghirardelli Associates: Vice President
Mark von Leffern / Mammoth Associates: Treasurer
Danica Bilicich-Mason, Assoc. DBIA (Principal at Red Team Go) has nearly 20 years of experience delivering and advising on collaborative delivery projects across North America. She has experience with design-build, progressive design-build, CM/GC, CMAR, P3, and EPC projects ranging from $2 million to $20 billion.
Paul Bews (Vice President Strategy and Operations at Ghirardelli Associates) has nearly four decades of experience in key roles on major transportation infrastructure programs, including the London 2012 Olympics Transportation Network, California High-Speed Rail, and LACMTA projects. His expertise spans transportation economics, socio-economic impact analysis, risk management, and system safety, ensuring that mobility projects deliver economic, social, and environmental benefits.
Mark von Leffern, DBIA, PMP (Senior Vice-President at Mammoth) Mammoth is a women-owned small business that specializes in providing project control, project and construction management services to public agencies. Mark is passionate about pushing the industry thinking in digital and technology solutions as they relate to capital projects related to heavy transmission and electrical infrastructure, rail, highways, airports, oil and gas, ports, facilities, data centers, software, aerospace and defense.
Congratulations to all! The AEC is lucky to have your expertise, commitment to collaboration, and visionary leadership at the helm of CalInfra working directly with the incomparable Mark Kempton as Executive Director.
